O. O. Kandison, a Nigerian native who started anew in Las Vegas, has completed her new book “Efemona”: an intriguing tale of cultural differences.
Kandison shares, “This book is about an African woman coming to America and soon becoming Americanized, only to go back to Africa, her own country of Nigeria, and teach by example what she’d learned in America. By teaching with examples, she’d had all other African countries also in her heart. Then she quickly grasps the idea that in the turn of the twenty-first century of civilization, all African countries should, by now, be striving and buoyant since they gain their independence from the Europeans. The leaders of Nigeria—if they were not morons, dunces, pigs, and imbeciles—should be leading the way to take Nkrumah and Patrice Emery Lumumba’s message to new heights to unite African countries.”
Published by Page Publishing, O. O. Kandison’s poignant tale follows one woman who transitioned between cultures as she returns home to teach her fellow natives by example.
